Christy graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Since then she has been enjoying relationship-building and helping patients discover optimal wellness through their dental health. Her passion for educating patients on whole-body health reached a whole new level when she discovered her very own son had a posterior tongue tie that affected his development and would need myofunctional therapy at the age of 3. She has since undertaken specialized training in myofunctional therapy so that she could help her son and the many others who could benefit. Now she cannot look at the teeth without considering their surrounding muscles and how they affect function for each individual patient! When not engaged in learning about wellness, Christy enjoys cooking healthy foods, working out, hanging out with family and friends, and discovering new adventures with her husband, stepdaughter and son.
