RESPECTING THE WHOLE BODY

At Tara Kaur, DDS, we do not promote the use of fluoride to prevent tooth decay. In our opinion, there is not enough current scientific evidence to prove fluoride to be 100% safe. The potential detrimental effects that fluoride may have on your body as a whole are substantial enough to warrant concern.

There are many natural alternatives to fluoride which provide excellent tooth decay prevention and tooth re-mineralization. Proper nutrition is the foundation for all health, including dental health. In  addition, dental hygiene practices such as brushing, flossing and oral irrigation are also necessary.  Above and beyond that, there are dental products that can assist in cavity prevention and gum health. Our office offers a number of oral health products which are natural alternatives to fluoride and promote whole body wellbeing.

MicroBrite Tooth Powder: Microbrite contains a powerful antioxidant, Microhydrin, which provides trillions of negatively charged ions to bind to the particles in your mouth for easy removal. It also helps alkalinize your mouth.

TheraNeem Toothpaste: Theraneem contains supercritical extracts of the Neem Leaf and Neem Bark to help support health teeth and gums.

MI Paste: MI paste’s active ingredient is Recaldent, a milk derived protein that binds calcium and phosphate to the tooth surface. This product is contra-indicated in individuals with dairy allergies/sensitivities.

PerioBrite Toothpaste: PerioBrite contains soothing organic herbs well-known for their cleansing action, while CoQ10, Folic Acid, Oregano, Cinnamon and Clove promote tissue and gum health.

Xylitol Oral Products: Xylitol is a natural sugar that inhibits the metabolism of the cavity causing bacteria streptococcus mutans. Xylitol products work most effectively with multiple daily exposures (4-6 exposures/day). Common xylitol brands of oral health products are Spry and Epic.
